The Honda Accord receives a complete redesign and a plethora of improvements. The V6 engine has been replaced with a pair of turbocharged engine options for maximum efficiency and power. It gains a longer wheelbase and a slight increase in width, making the cabin feel larger. The cabin also gains from more upscale materials along with futuristic technology and Honda Sensing® comes standard on all trims. Finally, the upgraded suspension and sound insulation help deliver a smoother, quieter ride.
2018 Honda Accord Features
The Honda Accord will become slimmer in 2018. It loses a little bit of height and length as well as weight, but gains a longer wheelbase and grows slightly wider. As a result, a bold design with an aerodynamic shape and strong character lines.
The new upscale cabin includes high-quality, soft-touch materials that both the driver and passengers will appreciate. Being the most technologically advanced Accord ever built, it has next-level intelligence features including rain-sensing wipers, head-up display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless charging pad, Wi-Fi connectivity and so much more. More driver-centric features include an 8-inch Touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, heated front seats, remote start and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
With three advanced powertrains, this will be the most fun-to-drive and fuel efficient Accord yet. All trims come standard with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 192 horsepower. A 2.0-liter turbocharged engine replaces the V6 as a high-performance engine option. It comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and is available on the higher trim levels. The Accord Hybrid presents the third powertrain option, and will come with a next generation two-motor hybrid system.
The Accord has a slew of driver aids and active safety features. Honda SensingⓇ comes standard on all trims for 2018, and includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation and Traffic Sign Recognition. Other driver aid features include Rearview Camera and Blind-Spot Monitoring.
