1947
As a gesture of gratitude for years of service as a personal accountant, Henry Ford awards Warren Germain a Mercury franchise. In 1947 The Germain Motor Company is born.
In 1947, Henry Ford approached his personal accountant, Warren Germain, about opening one of the first Mercury dealerships in Ohio. Mr. Ford hoped to build the brand’s presence outside of Detroit, and Warren agreed to open Bexley Mercury on Main Street in Bexley, Ohio. More than 70 years and four generations of family leadership later, we’re proud to represent 20 iconic manufacturers with 19 stores throughout Ohio, Florida, Arizona, and Michigan.
While a lot has changed since 1947, we continue to deliver an exceptional automotive sales and ownership experience, one customer at a time. We’re committed to making Germain a place where more than 1,000 associates can grow both personally and professionally, and from our sales consultants to service technicians, to brand ambassadors and beyond, we’re all united behind a common mission. Our success has continued over the years through the progressive use of technology, industry-best processes, and by building lasting relationships in the communities we serve.
Whether you’re just starting your car buying journey or browsing our wide inventory for your next car, truck, or SUV, we’re proud to offer the GermainCars platform to help guide you through the process. From our research content & buying guides to our virtual transaction options powered by Germain to You and Germain Shipping, it’s all about providing a flexible, pressure-free shopping experience.
On behalf of the entire Germain family, thank you for considering us for your automotive needs.
